AAP hinting at Kejriwal as CM proves it doesn't trust Punjabis: Sukhbir Badal
Amritsar (Punjab) [India], Jan. 10 (ANI): Reacting to the shocking announcement made by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia hinting at Arvind Kejriwal for the post of Punjab's chief minister, the ruling Shiromi Akhali Dal (SAD) leader Sukhbir Singh Badal on Tuesday called on the Punjabi community in the state not to trust the actions of an 'anti-Punjab' party.
"By asking people to vote for @ArvindKejriwal as CM of Pb, Manish Sisodia has exposed their plan. AAP has proven it does not trust Punjabis (sic)," Tweeted Badal.
The Punjab Deputy Chief Minister further alleged that the state unit of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) deliberately sidelined Sucha Singh Chhotepur Bhagwant Mann and Himmat Singh to pave the way for Kejriwal.
"Sisodia's announcement proves that @SChotepur was thrown out to pave the way for @ArvindKejriwal," he said.
"They also forced @BhagwantMann & Himmat Singh Shergill to fight from Jalalabad & Majitha to remove contenders who could challenge Kejriwal," he added.
Dropping a major bombshell ahead of Punjab polls, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia asked the people to vote assuming they are voting for Arvind Kejriwal.
"Punjab voter has the opportunity vent out their outburst on February 4.I appeal to people to vote as if they are voting for Kejriwal. Their vote belongs to Kejriwal. Whatever has been promised by us, Kejriwal will fulfil his promises," he told reporters here.
Incidentally, in one of his recent rallies, Kejriwal had announced that a Dalit will be the deputy chief minister of Punjab if his party comes to power in the state.
State Assembly polls in Punjab are scheduled for February 4 and results will be announced on March 11. (ANI)
