Aero India: Rajiv Pratap Rudy flies Rafale aircraft
Bengaluru, (Karnataka),[India] Feb. 15 (ANI): Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy flew the Rafale fighter jet aircraft at an air show which was held as a part of Aero India 2017 at the Yelahanka airbase in Bengaluru.
Commenting on his experience with the flight, the minister stated that the aircraft is extremely maneuverable.
"Today I had the opportunity to fly the Rafale. It is a fly-by-wire technology fifth generation fighter aircraft. The maneuverability and the actions performed with the aircraft are completely magical," Pratap told ANI.
"It is the first time that the Indian Air Force will be inducting a complete fly-by-wire technology aircraft," he added.
The aircraft was also taken for a sortie by Anil Ambani, Chairman of the Reliance Group.
The Rafale aircraft is being manufactured by Dassault Aviation.
Reliance Defence has set up a joint venture with the manufacturer for the execution of offset obligations under the 36 Rafale aircraft deal for the IAF at a value of Rs. 59,000 crore. (ANI)
