Believers who receive God’s mercy must guide others: Pope
Vatican City, Nov 17 (IANS/AKI) Catholics who benefit from Divine mercy during their lives are obliged to become “a sign and instrument for others”, Pope Francis tweeted on Thursday.
“It is not enough to experience God’s mercy in one’s life; whoever receives it must also become a sign and instrument for others,” he said in a tweet.
Francis has over 30 million followers of his nine-language @Pontifex account on Twitter.
The pontiff declared a Jubilee Year of Mercy from 8 December 2015 to 20 November 2016.
Catholics around the world have been encouraged to renew their relationship with God during this period and seek forgiveness for their sins, according to a 700-year-old tradition.
