Bournemouth stage dramatic comeback to stun Liverpool in sensational PL clash

London [UK], Dec. 5 (ANI): In what could be termed as a sensational football game, Bournemouth staged a stunning comeback to defeat Liverpool 4-3 in the Premier League clash on Sunday.
Comfortable with a 2-0 lead at half-time and enjoying the same margin of superiority over Bournemouth at 3-1 on 75 minutes, Jurgen Klopp's side criminally departed the south coast with a defeat, reports goal.com.
Sadio Mane scored the opener for the Reds in the 20 minute of the game and two minutes later, forward Divock Origi struck another to extend the lead to 2-0.
In the second half of the match, Bournemouth brought on Ryan Fraser and that ultimately proved to be the turning point of the game. Seconds later Callum Wilson scored the penalty making the score 1-2.
Liverpool's Emre Can extended the lead to 3-1 before the Cherries staged a comeback with two back to back goals courtesy Fraser and Centre-back Steve Cook.
It looked as if the game would end in a draw before Reds goalkeeper Loris Karius spilled Cook's shot and Ake tapped home into an empty net in injury time.
Meanwhile, in another Premier League encounter, Manchester United were held to a 1-1 draw against Everton.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the opener in the 43rd-minute opener but Leighton Baines of Everton scored the equaliser through a penalty in the dying moments of the game.
The draw leaves United sixth, nine points behind the fourth-placed Manchester City and a further four behind the leaders, Chelsea, after 14 matches. (ANI)
