Dileep arrested after four months investigation in actress molestation case

Court rejects Dileep's bail plea, sent for two-day police custody

Kochi/Kerala, July 10: Popular Malayalam Actor Dileep was arrested on Monday evening in the actress molestation case. The Kerala police have made these arrests after four months investigation. On June 28, Dileep and Nadirshah were questioned for 13 hours in a single day and night session.  Police questioned Dileep for four hours on 6th July in Malayalam actress abduction case. He has been questioned with Nadir Shah and his manager at Aluva police club.

Earlier, after the news about an actress getting abducted in Kochi came out, rumours were rife about the involvement of producer-cum-artist Dileep in the case. The police had arrested the prime accused Sunil Kumar alias Pulsar Suni who was working as a driver in the Malayalam film industry. The investigation team was headed by Crime Branch IG Dinendra Kashyap and was supervised by ADGP B. Sandhya.

Dileep had strongly come out against these reports now, saying that the allegations are baseless. As per reports, he says, “No policemen has been to my home or questioned me. My name is being unnecessarily dragged into this issue and I fear it’s all part of a conspiracy. Those who are speculating my involvement in the incident should first check with the police whether they came to my house in Aluva.”

Popular Malayalam film actress was abducted on February 18, 2017, for a while on her way from Thrissur to Kochi on February 18 Friday night by some people, who reportedly took pictures of her to blackmail her. The popular actress after a shoot was on way to take part in the dubbing of her new film directed by director and actor Lal. While on way, a car hit her vehicle from behind, following which an argument erupted. The passengers of the other car forcefully entered her car and drove off with the actress. she was held hostage for two hours when the gang took pictures of the actress to blackmail her for money, reports said.
