Mocking Modi, Mayawati says Varanasi road show only had onlookers
Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Mar. 4 (ANI): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati today mocked the road show of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, saying these were only attended and witnesses by on lookers in Varanasi.
"The crowd present in the road shows of these parties comprised more of on lookers. I am witnessing a much bigger crowd here," Mayawati said.
She asserted that the crowd present in Prime Minister Modi's road show was accumulated from neighboring districts. "The condition of BJP is so bad that they have to call people from different districts and sometimes from other states," she claimed.
"I have come to know that in Prime Minister's road show, residents of Varanasi were very few. Most of the people were called from those districts where polls have already taken place," she further added.
Mayawati also took a dig on PM Modi's schedule of offering prayers in the temples of Varanasi. She said, "I believe you people will vote for BSP candidates on all seats. No matter how much prayer Prime Minister offers in the temples or army of ministers he sends to Uttar Pradesh, BJP will achieve nothing because of their anti-poor policies."
She didn't hesitate in slamming Samajwadi Party too. The BSP supremo alleged that the state government exhausted great amount of money on media promotions.
The family feud of Samjawadi Party also found mention in her speech. "Shivpal Yadav will try to politically harm candidates of Akhilesh's camp for his public humiliation," she said.(ANI)
