New Delhi: Married life and having kids after tying the nuptial knot are just excuses for not achieving success. Take this message from Haryana’s Anu Kumari, who secured the second rank in Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams.

Sharing her mantra for success, Anu said only strong will can help someone achieve success in life and if you have that in you, nothing can stop you from being successful.

Anu, the mother of a four-year-old child, achieved this feat in her second attempt.

Despite fulfilling her household responsibilities, Anu took out 10-12 hours every day for her studies.

Anu, 31, is married to a businessman and is a graduate in Physics from Delhi University’s Hindu College, Anu also has an MBA from IMT, Nagpur.

Talking to NDTV she said, there was no newspaper in the village where she was preparing for her exams so she took the route of online content to prepare for UPSC examination.

She has preferred IAS over IFS because she thinks the safety of women in the country would be her top priority.

Strangely Anu did not take any coaching classes for her preparations.

In his tweet, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar congratulated Anu and wrote that he hoped that Haryana’s girls would get inspired by her success.

The UPSC result was declared on Friday (27.4.2018). Eight women have made it to the UPSC top 25 lists.
