No-confidence motion: Congress issues whip to MPs asking to be present tomorrow.

New Delhi, March 26: Congress issues a three-line whip to its Lok Sabha MPs asking them to be present in the house tomorrow for a no-confidence motion.

It was on Friday that TDP, Jagan Reddy’s YSR Congress and the Rahul Gandhi-led Congress gave a notice for a move against the Narendra Modi’s NDA government.

Reportedly, veteran Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge, in a letter to Lok Sabha Secretary General, gave the notice to include a move against the NDA in the list of business on 27th March.

“This House expresses a no-confidence in the Council of Ministers of the Narendra Modi government,” says the notice tabled by Mallikarjun Kharge, the Leader of Congress in the Lok Sabha.

Meanwhile, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has accused the Narendra Modi government of being ‘afraid’ to face the motion against it. “In Parliament, a move against the Modi government has been moved. For the past ten days it has been stalled because the government is afraid,” he said at a public rally in Mysuru, on Sunday.

The BJP president Amit Shah has stated: “BJP is ready for a debate on ‘No Confidence’ motion under the rules but opposition parties are not allowing the parliament to function by stalling proceedings”.

Though the Congress Party under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi is on a strong move to demolish the BGP-NDA Government, political critics opine that it could not turn turtle the present government. For this, the experts give a few reasons. Among these, the first one is that the Congress Party is not yet able to gain support from the other factions spread in the nation except a few like TDP. The second reason is that the Congress Party could not yet move the factions in the NDA to the side of Congress.
