One man was killed as a car was smashed by a Lamborghini in Sector 135 of Noida on the Expressway.

Noida,July10:One man was killed on Saturday afternoon as a car was smashed by a Lamborghini that swerved in order to avoid a speeding Swift Dzire, according to India Today. The accident occurred in Sector 135 of Noida on the Expressway.

But it scraped the Lamborghini which tried to prevent a collision by deviating to its left lane.

This is when the Maruti Eeco got disastrously involved in the accident. The vehicle crashed into the Lamborghini and rolled over into the forested area. It missed a motorcyclist, also travelling at a high speed in the left lane, by a few metres.

The terrifying road accident on the expressway was captured on the expressway’s CCTV cameras. According to the video footage, the Maruti Swift Dzire appeared to be overtaking the Lamborghini when it swerved to the left. It wasn’t clear if the Dzire driver momentarily lost control.

But it scraped the Lamborghini which tried to prevent a collision by deviating to its left lane.

This is when the Maruti Eeco got disastrously involved in the accident. The vehicle crashed into the Lamborghini and rolled over into the forested area. It missed a motorcyclist, also travelling at a high speed in the left lane, by a few metres.

According to reports, the driver of the Maruti Eeco was identified as a resident of Mandawali in east Delhi, Arshad Ahmed. He was taken to the hospital but did not make it. Doctors told the police he had died before reaching the hospital.

The driver of the Swift Dzire was arrested but the police have not been able to trace the Lamborghini driver.

Police officers say a large proportion of road accidents on the expressway take place due a lane indiscipline and over-speeding.

The Lamborghini then hit the Eeco, which tumbled several times before crashing, as reported by Times Now. The report mentioned that sources within Noida police stated that the Swift Dzire was attempting to race with the Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini was currently untraceable as the driver fled from the spot immediately after the accident, as per Times Now.

Vedpal Pundir, station house officer, Expressway police station, told The Times of India: “We are trying to verify whether the Lamborghini too made an error. Its driver has not been identified so far and we will see if the person is guilty.”

In February, an accident took place when, as per Hindustan Times, a Sharda University student died in an accident in Sector 144 on Noida–Greater Noida Expressway. A Ford EcoSport and Swift Dzire were involved in the accident.

Anuj Kumar, station house officer of Surajpur police station told Hindustan Times: “Prima facie it seems that EcoSport was speeding, and the driver applied hand-brakes suddenly, due to which the car lost control and toppled several times. Swift Dzire, which was behind the SUV also lost control and rammed into the divider.”

Police said that the 20-year-old victim, Paras Ahluwalia, was pursuing BTech from Sharda University. Ahluwalia died on the spot whereas other students in the car survived with injuries
