OnePlus 5 smartphone in India ready to sell from Amazon India

New Delhi,June27:Newly-launched OnePlus 5 smartphone in India on the launch day, June 22, you can do so today from Amazon India. The e-commerce firm has both the smartphone variants up for grabs right now. The OnePlus 5 is available in 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM versions. While the former includes 64GB inbuilt storage, the latter comes with 128GB inbuilt storage.

The 6GB RAM +64GB inbuilt storage variant is available in Slate Gray colour variant only for Rs 32,999. The premium version, which has 8GB RAM + 128GB inbuilt storage is available in Midnight Black colour at Rs 37,999.

Both the OnePlus 5 variants are being offered along with some special offers from Amazon India. The firm is giving flat Rs. 1500 cash back on using SBI credit cards and SBI debit cards. It is also offering Rs.500 promotion credit for Kindle eBooks once you sign in to the Kindle app.

The third offer is for the Vodafone users. Here users will receive up to 75 GB data free and 3 months of free Vodafone Play services with the OnePlus 5. Another offer is for Amazon Prime Video members wherein they can get Rs.250 as Amazon Pay Balance. Furthermore, Kotak is offering free 12 month accidental damage insurance for the OnePlus 5 users.

The handset, as OnePlus claims, is 7.25mm slim and is lighter than its predecessor OnePlus 3T. This makes OnePlus 5 the slimmest smartphone by the company to launch so far. Made using Anodised aluminium, the OnePlus 5 comes with a ‘new’ design as compared to the OnePlus 3T. One of the highlights of the smartphone is the inclusion of the dual rear cameras.

OnePlus 5 gets its first OS update, OxygenOS pushed to v4.5.2 to focus on clarity the company has added 16MP + 20MP dual rear cameras in the OnePlus 5. The 16MP sensor (Sony IMX398) comes with f/1.7 aperture. The secondary 20MP (Sony IMX350) telephoto zoom lens comes with f/2.6 aperture and better optical zooming capabilities.

The smartphone now has a new Depth Effect mode as well. The mode makes use of dual cameras and blurs the background, keeping the selected subject in focus. There is a 16MP front-facing camera powered by Sony IMX371 sensor, electronic image stabilisation and f/2.0 aperture.

The OnePlus runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat based OxygenOS 4.5 out of the box and supports dual nano SIM cards. The handset sticks with the 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Optic Amoled display like what we have seen with the OnePlus 3T. It is powered by the flagship mobile processor, the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and Adreno 540 GPU. Powered by a 3300mAh non-removable battery, the OnePlus 5 also supports the proprietary Dash Charging technology.

Supporting Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity along with NFC, GPS, WiFi and 4G LTE, the OnePlus 5 has a fingerprint sensor at the front below the display that is claimed to unlock the device in 0.2 seconds.
