Sahara Samay TV journalist shot at in Ghaziabad, serious
New Delhi: Unidentified criminals shot at a Sahara Samay television journalist thrice at his Ghaziabad residence on Sunday night, media reports said.
The journalist identified as Anuj Chaudhary received bullet injuries in his right hand and abdomen.
Chaudhary was rushed to a hospital where he is being treated. His condition is said to be critical.
According to media reports, Chaudhary is married to a BSP councillor. He was attacked by two motorcycle-borne assailants soon after he returned home from Razapur.
“The firing incident took place due to old enmity,” said media reports quoting Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna. The police are looking at past enmity as the possible motive behind the crime.
The family has identified the assailants, police said on Sunday evening, adding that it was yet to receive a complaint in the matter.
