Shopian: Army comes forward to help Bal Ashram orphans

Shopian (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], Dec. 16 (ANI): Apart from guarding India's borders against external aggression, the Indian Army also plays a social role.
Recently, it installed swings and slides at the newly established children's park at the Bal Ashram in Shopian to lift the morale of budding youth.
Rashtriya Rifles Commander Brigadier K. Venugopal inaugurated this section of the park in the presence of other dignitaries.
"We just wish that the future generation of this country do well in every sphere of life. We try to provide as much help as we can to the children," Brigadier Venugopal said.
Addressing the children, he said they must try to excel in all phases of life and also promised them full hearted assistance. (ANI)
