24 AAP MLA’s have criminal cases against them.Does AAP party promote criminals or are they the ire of the BJP’s power politics or vendetta?

New Delhi July 28:A report by the Association of Democratic Reforms (ADR.)says that on an average AAP candidates in 2015 ,are more than twice as rich as they were in December 2013. Average assets per candidate in the Congress has declined from Rs. 14.25 crore to Rs. 9.60 crores, in the BJP from Rs. 8.29 crore to Rs. 7.96 crores. But in the AAP it grew from Rs. 2.49 crore to Rs 5.89 crore.

Over  one-third of the newly-elected MLAs entering the Delhi assembly have criminal cases against them.

An analysis of the successful candidates shows that out of the 70 MLAs, 24 have declared criminal cases against them. Of these, 23 MLAs belong to the Aam Aadmi Party while one legislator belongs to the BJP.

Regarding the financial background oft of the 70 newly elected MLAs, 44 (63%) are crorepatis. Out of the 70 MLAs in Delhi 2013 assembly elections, 51 (73%) MLAs were crorepatis and in the 2008 Delhi Assembly elections, 47 (69%) out of 68 MLAs analysed were crorepatis.

The recent media newslines detailing the arrests of AAP MLA’s over various criminal offenses can only signal that the AAP party should decide to cleanse itself rather that languishing and complaining about it.

CM Arvind Kejriwal terms the MLA arrests as victims of central government vendetta or political battle against the AAP party in an attempt to malign their image  which will benefit the BJP in the coming Punjab elections.

The party have issued twitter alerts claiming it as a battle

Ashutosh ,AAP party spokesman said members of the Aam Aadmi Party are being treated like terrorists , predicting that two more AAP lawmakers “will be arrested by the end of the day.”

11 of AAPs lawmakers in Delhi have been arrested on various charges.

Two of them were arrested within 12 hours on Monday, one accused of trying to run a woman over, the other of desecrating the Quran in Punjab.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other party leaders have repeatedly accused the Modi government at the Centre of using the Delhi Police to persecute members of Aam Aadmi Party. Ashutosh today linked it to the elections in Punjab early next year.

“Before the Punjab elections, most of us will be behind bars. Other political parties should understand, what is happening to us today will happen to them tomorrow,” he said.
