Aam Aadmi Party all sets to contest and win the Goa Assembly elections next year : Kejriwal

New Delhi, July 23 : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced today that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) all set to contest the Goa Assembly elections 2017, as he opened another front against the Congress and BJP over allegations of corruption and bad governance during his maiden rally in the state, The Indian Express reported.
With corruption as the main theme of his almost hour-long speech, Kejriwal said that both the Congress and BJP deserved to be uprooted for their “misdeeds”.
He claimed that AAP had managed to check corruption in Delhi by 70-80 per cent. “I won’t even spare my son if he is found doing something wrong,” said Kejriwal, adding that AAP was voted to power in Delhi as people were fed up with corruption.
“No one in Delhi went to elect me as a chief minister, they went to vote for their own good future and that of their children. So now, Goa has a chance to put AAP in power,” he said, addressing a gathering of close to 8,000 people.
He attacked both the Congress and the BJP for the Kingfisher debt fiasco. He said that is Kingfisher could be the sole beneficiary of Rs 9,000 crore under Congress rule, and Vijay Mallya could be allowed to slip away under BJP rule, then what was wrong in AAP using
Rs 1,400 crore for power subsidy to benefit 36 lakh families.
Targeting Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, he said, “In fact, in Goa I have heard Parrikar holds confidential files that contain proof of wrongdoing by his political opponents. Similarly they hold files against him.”
Kejriwal also blamed the BJP and Congress for tarnishing the image of Goa tourism by creating an impression that it was only about “sex, tourism and drugs”. He added, “AAP will try to cleanse the image of Goa tourism.”
Later, he tweeted, “AAP will fight elections in Goa.”
