Amala Paul divorce: Actress’ mother was the villain of the story?

Chennai, Aug 25: Now that actress Amala Paul and director AL Vijay have filed for divorce officially, fresh rumors about the split are doing the rounds.

Some Tamil online portals suggest that, the actress’s mother Ancy Paul has played a major role in the separation. Reportedly, Amala’s mother was extremely disappointed with her early marriage with Vijay.

She felt that the marriage ruined Amala’s successful career, as married actresses have no demand in the industry. Ancy Paul always wanted her daughter to become the top heroine of South India.

Reports suggest that when Amala told them her wish to settle down with Vijay, Amala’s parents opposed it as they wanted their daughter to focus on her career. Although both families didn’t agree initially, they later gave in as the couple was going strong.

After almost a year, when Vijay’s parents were against her daughter-in-law’s career, it was Amala’s mother Ancy who asked the actress to end the marriage and concentrate on her career. All major decisions in Amala life were taken by her mother, as per the reports.

Amala has not spoken on the matter yet.

Amala Paul is currently concentrating on her Kannada movie career, as she is facing an unofficial ban in Kollywood. It has also been rumoured that the actress is no longer a part of Dhanush’s Vada Chennai.
