Hyderabad, July 20: In an apparent blow to All India Majlis-eIttahadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi, the families of two of the seven alleged operatives of the Islamic State (IS) have turned down his offer providing legal aid to fight court battle.

The families of arrested suspects have approached the State Human Rights Commission and submitted a petition seeking Rs 1-crore compensation. Relatives of Ibrahim Yazdani and Ilyas Yazdani alleged that AIMIM was taking undue advantage and playing vote bank politics over the issue.

Yazdanis’ family members Nadera and Mohammed Ishaq Yazdani have made NIA, Ministry of Home Affairs, Telangana DGP, Principal Secretary (Home) Telangana Government as parties responsible for framing their kith in false cases and for violating various sections of human rights.

The family also made NIA, Ministry of Home Affairs, Telangana DGP, Principal Secretary (Home) Telangana government as parties responsible for framing their kith in false cases and for violating various sections of human rights.

Facing a sever attack from different political parties the AIMIM chief Asaddudin Owaisi has reiterated his legal aid to the suspect citing the reason that getting free and fair trial is a constitutional right of any individual and it’s the court who will decide whether the arrested youths are guilty or not.

Answering on the allegation of promoting terrorism in the country, Owaisi in a public meeting of Mehboobnagar, Telanagana said, ” As citizens of India, we abide by the constitution and the constitution has given every citizen a right to seek justice. If I do not provide help to arrested youth, the court itself will provide help to them.”

Meanwhile the Bhartiya Janta party’s Telangana unit has started a signature campaign against terrorism in country as well as demanding the arrest of Asaduddin Owaisi under sedition for offering legal help to alleged Islamic arrests accused arrested by the NIA.
