Qandeel Baloch’s Instagram and Facebook account deleted

London, July 25: Qandeel Baloch, the Pakistani social media celebrity and model who was killed by her brother for her outspoken and unapologetic attitude, has been partly erased from the reach of the social media users as Facebook deletes her account. The actor and model was known mainly for her bold and racy photographs, most of which invited mixed responses from the largely conservative country.

Her official Facebook page and Instagram account, also a part of Facebook are no longer available. Facebook policy states that any account which belongs to a deceased individual is automatically made into a memorialised account where friends and family can share memories on the timeline.

However, Facebook’s help centre also states that  “Pages with a sole admin whose account was memorialised will be removed from Facebook if we receive a valid request.”
