When Sayani Gupta had to explain ‘I like p***s’

New Delhi, June 15 : Sayani Gupta, who rose to fame with her very convincing portrayal of Khanum opposite Kalki Koechlin in ‘ Margarita with a Straw,’ had to explain that she likes men when she visited New York gay bars during her homework days.

In a recent interview with Filmfare, the ‘ Fan’ actress said, “I had to regularly go to New York’s gay bars and spend time to prepare for my role. I’ve never made love to a woman. I had to tell them I’m straight… I like men.”

“I like the p***s!” she added.

Further, speaking about her lesbian scenes with Kalki in the movie, Sayani said that it was the first time that she kissed a girl, unlike the ‘Waiting’ actress as she studied at a boarding school and “it probably happens there.”

The Sonali Bose directed film won the NETPAC award World or International Asian Film Premiere at 2014 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
