St Alphonsa Church in New Delhi vandalised

New Delhi: The St. Alphonsa Church in Vasant Kunj here was vandalised by unidentified people on Monday..

The incident occurred around one AM. Police said that prayer items unbroken within the church were thrown around and a few different things were conjointly broken, adding that no FIR has been registered so far.

Senior police officers had reached the spot.

“We are investigation the incident and scanning the footage of CCTV put in close to the church to spot the defendant,” said a senior police official.

This is the fifth such incident during which a town church has been targeted since November last year.

Earlier in Jan, a minor hearth was reportable from a church in Rohini in Outer Old Delhi. The Christmas crib placed outside the building was fully burn.

In December, St Sebastian Church was part destroyed in hearth, whereas stones were pelted at a church close to South delhi.
