Tapsee Pannu to star in biopic of Iron Lady Irom Sharmila in Imphal

Mumbai,Sept7:Tapsee Pannu introduced into Tollywood with Jhummandi Nadam, she impressed audiences with her glamour and performance skills but unfortunately she could reach as expected. She worked with Top Hero’s Ravi Teja, Dhanush, Prabhas but her career did not take off.

Later she moved to Mumbai where she got the opportunity to share screen space with Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachachan for ‘Pink’. Also, she is working in another Bollywood Movie Ghazi in which Rana is playing the lead role.

Recently, she got an opportunity to act in the biopic of national fame personality Irom Sharmila. She is popularly known as Iron Lady and she is civil rights activist from Manipur who ended her 16 year old hunger strike demanding repeal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act.

The biopic will be directed by debutante Vikas K Dwivedi and the movie has been titled as ‘Imphal’. The preproduction work has been already started and Hansal Mehta is most likely to bankroll it.
