Watch this 6 year old chef wonder with astounding culinary skills
Kochi June 28:If it is not astonishing enough that 6-year-old Nihal Raj from Kochi knows the definition of reduced milk, his ability to turn that, along with other ingredients, into mouth-watering coconut payasam will certainly make your jaw drop.
Cooking has been considered as the forte of the grown-ups from time immemorial. But the story of Nihal Raj, six-year-old boy from Eranakulam, prompts us to think the other way
Raj runs his own recipe channel called Kichatube HD on YouTube, where, clad in wee-sized chef’s whites, he creates culinary magic while entertaining his viewers.
The channel was set up in 2015 and reached its first milestone pretty quickly when, earlier last month, Facebook acquired rights for the young chef’s Mickey Mouse Mango ice cream video for $2,000.
It all started when Nihal’s father Rajagopal V. Krishnan, started filming his son’s cooking session with mother Ruby Rajagopal. Rajagopal shared the video on Facebook which was widely appreciated.
This encouraged him to create a Youtube channel for his son called Kichatube HD. The channel was started in January 2015. Only 12 videos had been
uploaded so far. In February 2015, Rajagopal got a mail from a US-based company enquiring about a video uploaded on the channel. It was from a casting company for Facebook.
Nihal aka Kicha was a regular viewer of Evantube, started by a US-based young boy. Ruby is a home baker and the boy. Kicha’s recipes are provided by Ruby, who keeps them simple and kid-friendly. Nihal is a Class I student of a school in Kochi.
