Twitterati fumes at Star Sports for hoodwinking fans by ignoring Dipa Karmakar during her qualifying vault round at Rio
Rio de Janeiro August 8:The whole of India stayed up to get a glimpse of Dipa Karmakar, the first Indian female gymnast to qualify for the Olympics.Faced with utter disappointment for not being able to see her as she qualified for the finals because Star Sports did not show her frames during the telecast.
Twitter fans were fuming and expressed their displeasure at having missed the gymnast’s performance
Some even called the channel ‘anti-Indian’ and joked (hopefully) that they would be banned by Arvind Kejriwal!
Harsha Bogle finally had some sense to tweet that Rio controls the broadcast not Star Sports
