Home Minister Rajnath Singh to access Kashmir security measures , law and order over Burhan Wani killing

Srinagar July 23:Home Minister Rajnath Singh will arrive in Kashmir today on a two-day visit to take note of the law and order situation prevailing in the Valley in the wake of violence from Burhan Wani killing.

The Directors General (DGs) of paramilitary, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) will accompany him to oversee the security measures.

According to official sources, Mr Singh will lead a high level security meeting in Srinagar in addition to a close interaction with state Governor Narinder Nath Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.

He will fly back to Delhi on Sunday afternoon.

Amid protests over the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani earlier this month,45 people have died and over 2000 have been injured in two weeks of clashes between demonstrators and security forces.
